B.B. Red Bantams

Black Breasted Red Old English Bantams, commonly called BB Reds are one of the most popular varieties of Old English. Most of the plumage of the males is black; however, they have light orange heads, light golden hackle and saddle feathers and lustrous bright red backs and wingbows. The head of the female is golden red while the hackle is golden orange, striped with black. The front of the neck is rich salmon. The breast is salmon, shading lighter at the body, blending into the ashy gray body color. Golden Brown predominates the surface color of the back, which is dull black with the entire web free from shafting and stippled with golden brown.

Standard weights at maturity are male-24 oz, and hen-22 oz.
